Texas ACR contractor CE online, built for TDLR approval

Air conditioning and refrigeration contractors in Texas owe eight CE hours a year, and one of them has to be Texas laws and rules. TDLR approves each course on Form ACR101N and wants a login to the online version. We build that version on your site so the hour counts, certificates and seven-day rosters are right from day one.

What TDLR requires of an online course

Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Summarized from the rule text, with the citation for each so you can check it yourself.

  1. 01

Eight hours a year, one on Texas law

    16 TAC 75.25

ACR contractors need 8 hours of CE each year, and at least 1 of those hours covers Texas laws and rules.

  2. 02

    Course approval on Form ACR101N

    TDLR Form ACR101N

Each ACR course is approved separately on Form ACR101N for a $100 fee, and approval lasts one year.

  3. 03

Department access to the online course

    TDLR Form ACR101N

The provider certifies that TDLR will get a login and password to every online course, with access available for one year.

  4. 04

Rosters into the CE Reporting System

    16 TAC 59.51(e)

A course completion report goes to TDLR no later than seven days after the completion date, naming each participant who received a certificate with their license type and number.

  5. 05

Certificate fields and a 15-day deadline

    16 TAC 59.51(d)

Within 15 days, each participant who attended the whole course gets a certificate with course and provider names and numbers, completion date, credit hours, a provider signature, and the licensee name, type and number.

  6. 06

Run it the way you applied

    16 TAC 59.51(l)

The provider is responsible for verifying attendance and must administer the course substantially as it was represented in the approval application.

How the platform is built to it

Your course, on your site, under your name. Every requirement above is a feature, not a promise in the application.

Laws and rules hour as its own module

The Texas laws and rules content sits in a tracked module with its own timer, so a student cannot finish the 8 hours without the 1 hour 75.25 requires.

A TDLR login that stays open a year

We provision the department account at submission and keep it active for the full year of access the ACR101N certification promises.

Seven-day roster queue

Every completion is added to a roster with the licensee type and number already validated at enrollment, and the queue shows how many days are left before the 59.51(e) deadline.

Certificates that pass a field check

The certificate template is built from the six 59.51(d) fields and issues automatically at completion, well inside the 15 days.

Delivery that matches the application

Lesson order, timing and exams are locked to the approved version. Changes go into a new version you can review before it goes live, so what students see stays what TDLR approved.

The path to TDLR approval

  1. 1

Register with TDLR as a CE provider and keep the registration current, renewing on form MUL-102-N.

  2. 2

Complete Form ACR101N for the course, including the online delivery minutes and the internet course login.

  3. 3

Submit it with the $100 per-course fee and wait for approval before offering the course.

  4. 4

After approval, report completions within seven days through the CE Reporting System and reapply before the one-year approval ends.

The terms

We are building one right now for a state-approved online school in Virginia, in English and Spanish, on the same terms.

One flat fee
Quoted per course before any work starts. No hourly billing and no surprise line items.
Final payment on approval
The last payment is due when the regulator approves the course, so the platform has to pass review before it is paid for in full.
No per-student fees
You keep what every enrollment pays. Nothing is skimmed per seat, per certificate or per month of traffic.
You own it
The platform, the code and the student records are yours outright, on your site and under your brand.

Questions schools ask

How many CE hours do Texas ACR contractors need?

Eight hours a year, with 1 hour of Texas laws and rules, per 16 TAC 75.25 and the TDLR ACR CE page.

How long does a TDLR ACR course approval last?

One year. Plan the renewal before it lapses, because the course cannot be offered without a current approval.

How fast do I have to report ACR completions?

No later than seven days after the course completion date under 16 TAC 59.51(e). For a self-paced online course, students finish on different days, so the platform tracks the deadline per student.

Will TDLR review the course itself?

The ACR101N certification has you give the department a login and password to the online course, valid for a year. We set that up and prepare the platform documentation that describes timing and exams.

What are the terms?

A flat fee per course, final payment due when TDLR approves the course, no per-student fees, and you own the platform and the code. Monthly upkeep for hosting and rule changes is optional. We are building one right now for a state-approved online school in Virginia, in English and Spanish, on the same terms.
