Sazlo
Vaylo Studios and AEDELRIC Studios
Sazlo is a realtime home for groups: rooms, drop-in voice and live presence, running in the browser. A joint venture built and operated by Vaylo Studios and AEDELRIC Studios.
Case study
How we built it.
The Challenge
Study groups, clubs, bands and teams end up on platforms built for someone else, with heavy apps, identity checks and settings nobody can find.
Our Solution
A self-hosted Rust realtime gateway behind a Next.js client: spaces and rooms with layered permissions, voice you can drop into, live presence, and events people actually see.
Results
Live in the browser and open to new groups. Built and run in production by Vaylo Studios and AEDELRIC Studios, from the realtime gateway to the web client people sign in to.
Capabilities
System Capabilities
Spaces and rooms
Groups get their own space with rooms for every topic, and layered permissions so the right people see the right rooms.
Drop-in voice
Hop into a voice room without scheduling a call. Leave when you are done.
Live presence
See who is around right now, in which room, in real time.
No ID checks
Runs in the browser and never asks for an ID to join a group.
